Social Justice

Our school responds to a call of service in the spirit of joyful loving that seeks the presence of God in each person encountered.

SFS continues to generously support different social justice initiatives, including the Feast of the Sacred Heart, which allows us to build a partnership with The St Vincent de Paul Society by supporting their winter and Christmas appeal.  During Lent, the school supports Caritas and their Project Compassion Appeal. In addition, the Senior School Action Team initiative allows students to work towards the common good through acts of social justice. They develop initiatives which provide financial, practical and prayerful support for the poor and marginalised at local, national and global levels.  One such example was the instigation of the Friends of Ermera partnership, established in conjunction with the City of Casey.
